Project description
The introduction to mechanics at secondary level I can be done using one- or two-dimensional approaches. The central feature in each case is a scalar or vectorial concept of speed. In this project, both approaches were investigated in a field lesson in seventh and eighth grades. This was done as a supplement to previous studies with the help of simulations developed for both approaches and two versions of automatic feedback. The learning success and the use of simulations and feedback were analysed using quantitative and qualitative methods.
